Retiring, but NOT from the Gospel!

News from Dallas!

August 2022

Dear Friends:

Since I was saved and called into ministry in 1979, particularly to evangelism, I have been entrusted with sharing the Gospel of Christ in numerous ways. I have been blessed to pastor four Southern Baptist churches over the years. I have also served churches in other ministry capacities including teaching, leading youth ministries, and supporting in various other aspects of church ministry. I have been involved in preaching and in revival and street/festival events, as a solo evangelistic crusade speaker, in ministry to inmates, bikers, church men’s groups, families in crisis, and individuals in the markets throughout the years since receiving my call. In 2015, God led me to begin Dallas Morales Evangelistic Ministries (DMEM), a 501c3 non-profit, and I have been sharing Christ through that ministry ever since.

Since before my call, I have also through the years maintained an interest in buying and selling collectibles, and this became an LLC in recent years. This activity in markets, shows, stores, and other venues has kept me in contact with some of the most precious people I know, the world of vendors and buyers. God has allowed me to minister in unique ways throughout these interactions over the years, building relationships of a lifetime carrying Jesus where He is not typically mentioned or lifted up. This activity has also augmented my ministry income and allowed me to bring the Gospel everywhere God leads and allows me to go.

When I received my call, it was clearly to the life work of the evangelist. At that time, God allowed me to hear Leon Kilbreth, an evangelist with great impact for God’s kingdom, and I knew my ministry was also meant to spread the Gospel. After 55 years in the buying and selling world and 43 years in Christian ministry, God has now led me to retire from the buying and selling business. As of August 4, 2022, I have made the commitment to move in obedience to liquidate ALL of my inventory and continue with full attention to the ongoing work of evangelism, both through DMEM and as resident evangelist from my home church, Bethany Baptist Church. I will continue selling until all collectibles are sold but will from this point no longer be buying to resell. I have never been a collector, by the way.

I believe that by making and following this commitment, I am poised to continue and complete the work for which God created and called me. Part of that work is to complete the publishing of the book I have written, Dripping but Undaunted, as one tool for sharing the Good News of how God saves through my personal life story. I see ministering in many of the same market venues in which I have sold collectibles, continuing relationships and distributing the book and other materials to include the Bible itself. I also see myself more available than ever to fulfill ministry opportunities He gives me.

God has always provided for His people. I have seen him provide all I have needed to do His work, and I greatly appreciate those who have supported my ministry and DMEM through the years. I believe He will continue to guide and provide for all the days of ministry He has planned for me.

My brother in Christ now enjoying heaven, Terry, and I used to say on some of our trips together, “We’re on vacation, but not from the gospel!” So similarly, as God leads, I am retiring, but not from the Gospel ministry. Only God can retire me from that when He takes me home.

In Christ,

Dallas
